Sizing

Our rings are in US sizes. Most run from 5 to 10, and a few go wider — the size run for each piece is listed on its own product page.

If you already know your US size, that is all you need. If you don’t, the method below takes two minutes and a strip of paper.

Measure at home

  1. Cut a thin strip of paper about 10 cm long and 5 mm wide. Paper, not string — string stretches and will read a size too small.
  2. Wrap it around the base of the finger you want the ring for. Snug, not tight: it should sit the way a ring sits, not pinch.
  3. Check it will pass over your knuckle. If the knuckle is the wider part, wrap the knuckle instead and use that measurement.
  4. Mark where the paper meets, unwrap it, and measure to the mark in millimetres with a ruler.

That number is your inside circumference. Find it in the table below.

US size Inside circumference Inside diameter
3 44.2 mm 14.1 mm

5 49.3 mm 15.7 mm
5.5 50.6 mm 16.1 mm
6 51.9 mm 16.5 mm
6.5 53.1 mm 16.9 mm
7 54.4 mm 17.3 mm
7.5 55.7 mm 17.7 mm
8 57.0 mm 18.1 mm
8.5 58.3 mm 18.5 mm
9 59.5 mm 18.9 mm
9.5 60.8 mm 19.4 mm
10 62.1 mm 19.8 mm
11 64.6 mm 20.6 mm
12 67.2 mm 21.4 mm
13 69.7 mm 22.2 mm

To size from a ring you already wear, measure straight across the inside of the band and use the inside diameter column.

If you land between two sizes

Go up. A ring that is slightly loose still turns and still works; one that is slightly tight does not go on at all. This matters more for our pieces than for most jewelry — a spinner or a roller needs to sit freely enough to move.

Two things that change the answer

  • Measure at the end of the day. Fingers are at their largest then, and warmest. A morning measurement on cold hands reads small.
  • Check the knuckle. If your knuckle is noticeably wider than the base of your finger, size for the knuckle. The ring has to get past it.

Pieces that need no size at all

If you are buying a gift and don’t know their size, start here:

  • Slider Ring — adjustable, one size. You choose the number of beads, not a size.
  • Cuff Ring — adjustable, one size. Four beads or ten.
  • All bracelets and necklaces — one size, no measuring.

There is a whole collection of them: No Size Needed.
